I should have written this some time ago . Finding the right words is hard ....

When brain cancer found it’s way into our family  and my husband Mike was diagnosed , I became only too  aware of the financial strain and lack of care based services there were for brain tumour patients .  Finding someone  who understood me , and my emotional needs as a carers and Mikes  physical and emotional needs  dealing with brain cancer - was difficult . We relied on the families we met along the way , google and Facebook pages in search of support and information . 

7 short months later , Mike beacame yet another statistic to this cruel and horrid disease . 

Since that dreaded day my focus has been  on helping other families . So we established Hand in Hand Fighting Brain Cancer . A national charity for brain cancer . Our small non for profit charity is able to assist families financially , and provide support and guidance to our brain tumour community . . 

As we are 100% volunteer based , what you donate goes straight to our cause . 

I am representing our charity in hope that we can raise the much needed funds , to help families in need now . 

Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease . It kills more people under 40 than any other Cancer . 

I have lost my father in law , husband , uncle  and many dear friends to this disease .
