The photo pictured above was the last time I lay with my dad.  We were on a family holiday, I knew he was sick, I just didnt think he would die. That happens to other people right? . The very next day January 15th, 2016 -  4 days before my birthday my dad left this world - he died from GBM Brain Cancer. I was only 10 at the time.

It has been over 2 years since then and in that  time our  charity, Hand In Hand Fighting Brain Cancer was born. A legacy to my dad, Michael Oldano , to  help families just like ours.The death of my dad never truly hit me, in fact it still hasn't, but that doesn't mean I don't care. It was and still is one of the most traumatic events in my life. There are so many things I wish I could be doing with him that I'll never be able to do. I'll never get the chance to talk to him again, play a game with him, go motorbike riding, go camping, nothing.  This fundraiser is for all the other families that have been affected. With your help we can raise the much needed funds to provide care based services , financial assistance , awareness and most importantly provide funding for research, to help find a cure.  My dad was 41 when he died,  too young you say ?  Brain cancer is the nations number one disease killer of our children.  More people 40 yrs and under die from brain cancer , than any other cancer . I want to make a difference so no child will ever be affected by this horrible disease again. My pop died of brain cancer , and my dad - will I be next?  Help me make a difference.
